Carly Rae Jepsen’s New Video Says Don’t Call Me Ever Again
“Whose got ’em? I got ’em, too!”
Last week, the woman responsible for “Call Me Maybe”, Carly Rae Jepsen – whose collaborations with Dev Hynes vindicated her whole schtick – gifted us with a breakup anthem with the debut of “Boy Problems.” If you couldn’t tell by the lighting and pastels, the sad girl motif, the music video was directed by photographer and Rookie all-star Petra Collins. Jepsen spoke about why Collins was right for the gig: “I think she has a very gifted eye for a refreshing look at youth and beauty, and the way she plays with color always stands out to me.” Collins certainly brings her own creative touch and signature young-girl angst to the table with this one.
If you’re going through a separation, or as Carly sings, “losing a lover”, maybe this’ll be your jam. Watch:
